秋晚悲怀鉴赏
这首诗题为《秋晚悲怀》，诗人把主题定得十分明显。自从宋玉在《九辩》中大抒悲秋情怀之后，感秋、悲秋就成为历来诗人常写的主题之一，这首诗也是借秋晚的景象，抒写诗人内心的悲感的。
起始两句感叹时光易逝，壮志未酬。“渐老”则已是人生的秋天；“多忧”，可知世事并非平静；“百事忙”，可见劳生碌碌，生计维艰。但诗人伤怀者尚不止此，时已暮，天渐寒，日渐短，时序是不留情的，流逝的时光，不能够再回来了。“惟草木之零落兮，伤美人之迟暮！”作为一个有心的志士，诗人感到很悲伤。这两句是从悲秋之情着笔，先把心事和盘托出，以见情真。次两句写秋天的景色，但景中寓情，“数分红色上黄叶”，大自然原不过是点染秋色，诗人却体察到时事的易于变迁。“一瞬曙光成夕阳”，更使人深惜曙景不长，朝晖易成夕照。“数分”以显其渐变；“一瞬”，以明其短暂。秋晚降霜，黄叶染成了红色。日暮了，夕阳虽好，毕竟抵不上朝阳；“霜叶红于二月花”，虽然给人以另一种美的感受，但毕竟不及春花。诗人是多感的，他也懂得四时运行的规律，但面对现实，还是产生了淡淡的哀愁，因此这样的诗句，能引起很多人的同感。第五、六两句写诗人开拓心胸，从现实中力求振奋。诗人想到流去的春水，应有到海的时侯，它载去人们送别之情，祝愿它流进大海，汇成那雄波巨澜，在奔腾浩瀚、无边无际的海洋中，有它一份生命的力量。接着又想到山上的青松，青松的生命，是耐得住风霜的，在风欺霜打之后，依然虬枝奋昂，老干撑天，丝毫不带有畏怯的样子。前句以“应到海”表示推测，是写他人；后句以“合经霜”表示理所当然，是写诗人自己。前句于吟想中见柔情，是对他人的怀思；后句于激奋中见劲节，是诗人对自己的策励。但诗人此时并未得到完全的超脱，丝丝缕缕的秋怀，仍然使他有“岁月将零”的伤感。在诗的结尾中，诗人说：借用道书中壶公的故事，诗人说，如果能追随着壶中的仙翁，也许能知道人间日月的长短，而不致有岁月蹉跎、华年难再的感慨。
全诗以悲怀起兴，以自求振拔结束；中间两联，对仗自然，语言清新洒落，可见诗人风格的一斑。诗中所表达的情意，对当时怀才未遇的志士来说，有普遍的意义。

李觏(1009—1059)，字泰伯，号盱江先生，是我国北宋时期一位重要的哲学家、思想家、教育家、改革家，他生当北宋中期“积贫积弱”之世，虽出身寒微，但能刻苦自励、奋发向学、勤于著述，以求康国济民。他俊辩能文，举茂才异等不中，讲学自给，来学者常数十百人。李觏博学通识，尤长于礼。他不拘泥于汉、唐诸儒的旧说，敢于抒发己见，推理经义，成为 “一时儒宗”。今存《直讲李先生文集》三十七卷，有《外集》三卷附后。为纪念李觏，资溪县建有泰伯公园，塑有李觏雕像，李觏纪念馆正在建设之中。
