译文
我长年在外漂泊，足迹遍及天涯海角。那回家的好梦，却总是姗姗来迟。但见星光与月色浸透了窗纱，映照出一枝梅花的斜影。
我的愁肠没有被愁断，两鬓却已斑白。最近，身体也越来越消瘦了。运处传来角声，吹着哀哀的《小梅花》。长夜漫漫，我又想起了远方的家。
注释
阮郎归：词牌名。又名《醉桃源》、《醉桃园》、《碧桃春》。双调四十七字，前后片各四平韵。
为客：作客。
归路：回家的路。
赊（shē）：遥远。
无端：无因，没来由。
浸：指月光射进窗内。
鬓（bìn）先华：谓双鬓生出白发。
新来：最近以来。
《小梅花》：乐曲名。

阮郎归·客中见梅创作背景
据《四库全书总目（惜香乐府）提要》云：“长卿恬于仕进，觞咏自娱，随意成吟，多得淡远萧疏之致。”这首词大约为长卿考取仕途后辞帝京，纵游山水，居于江南，遁世隐居时期写的一首词。

阮郎归·客中见梅鉴赏
赵长卿这首《阮郎归》，题为客中见梅。词的意蕴是以梅花象征客子，词的主旨在题目藏而不露。
“年年为客遍天涯。”年年为客，极写飘泊时间之漫长。遍天涯，道尽飘泊空间之辽远。词人开篇径言与家乡的隔绝，真实地道出心灵上所担荷的羁愁之深重。“梦迟归路赊”。还家的好梦，总是姗姗来迟，使客子梦中还家暂消思愁的机会都没有。现实冷峻，摆在面前：归路迢递，归不得也。首句述离家之久之遥，已使读者深为之伤感，次句又言客子归家之情，即在梦中亦不可伸更使读者倍感心中的郁闷不可发泄。
短短两句，便可动人之心，词人感情之真挚，笔力之深厚，可窥一斑。显然，客子这一夜，又是一个不眠之夜。“无端星月浸窗纱。一枝寒影斜。”榻上辗转，忽尔见到那浸透了月光的窗纱上，映现出一枝梅花横斜的姿影。月光溶溶，柔和似水，星光点点，闪铄其间，愈发衬托出梅枝清峻。“无端星月浸窗纱，一枝寒影斜。”一笔便写出梅花“清绝，十分绝，孤标难细说”（长卿《霜天晓角·咏梅》）的神理。妙笔也。
“肠未断，鬓先华。”换头遥挽起笔，不写梅花，转来写人。年年天涯，梦迟路赊，纵未愁断，也已是早生了白发。人自然是：“新来瘦转加。”一天天憔悴下去了。“角声吹彻《小梅花》。”古人常因笛中之曲有《梅花落》，大角之曲有《大单于》、《小单于》、《大梅花》、《小梅花》（《乐府诗集》卷二十四），而想象梅花有情，笛声角声，使之伤心，甚至凋落。当角声吹彻《小梅花》曲之时，正梅花极具伤心难堪之际。
这紧紧衔连客子伤心难堪之至极，此情、此境，究为怜梅耶，抑为自怜耶，不知梅花为客子之幻化欤，抑或客子为梅花之幻化欤，恍难分辨。结句一唱点醒：“夜长人忆家。”此一句最是深情通篇之感触、皆汇于此。年年天涯，何尝不是漫漫长夜今日无眠，数年来又何曾安枕过。以“家”字结穴，意尤味深长。这正是全幅词情的终极指向。而在赵长卿词中，家与梅，又原有一份亲切关系。长卿《花心动·客中见梅寄暖香书院》云：“一饷看花凝伫。因念我西园，玉英真素”。“断肠没奈人千里”，“那堪又还日暮”。可以发明这首词结穴的言外之意。见梅思家，尤为刻挚。结得朴厚、含蓄。

赵长卿号仙源居士。江西南丰人。宋代著名词人。 宋宗室，居南丰。生平事迹不详，曾赴漕试，约宋宁宗嘉定末前后在世。从作品中可知他少时孤洁，厌恶王族豪奢的生活，后辞帝京，纵游山水，居于江南，遁世隐居，过着清贫的生活。他同情百姓，友善乡邻，常作词呈乡人。晚年孤寂消沉。《四库提要》云：“长卿恬于仕进，觞咏自娱，随意成吟，多得淡远萧疏之致。”
