译文
灯火已阑珊，远远望去，酒楼渐行渐远。灯火渐稀，游人缓缓地回家了。轻寒袭人，漏壶的水也快滴完了。烟雾正逐渐聚集，烟花如箭划过天际。一双莲花形的灯影，勾起往事历历，令人惊心，情思难断。
不要恼恨时间一去不复返，只恨春光易逝，美好的时光总是短暂。她细声细气的柔语和口中散发的香气，她的芳鬓被夜间看不清的尘雾所笼罩而迷蒙，一切美好的记忆都随拂晓之风而逝，只留零星的片段。敲遍阑干。问帘底那人，何时再能相见？相思无处可解，今夜月色满溢。
注释
宝钗楼远：佳人居住的楼阁相距遥远，：宝钗楼，唐宋时成阳酒楼名。陆游《林酒》：“但恨宝钗楼，胡沙隔成阳。”自注：“宝钗楼，咸阳旗亭也。”这里指想念中的情人所居。
鞣鞠（róujū）：又称“棘羯芽”，即红玛瑙，因其产地在我国少数民族棘鞫所居之地，故称。
待属：待要斟酒相劝j属，注入，斟酒相劝二《仪礼·士昏礼》：“酌玄酒，三属于尊。”郑玄注：“属，犹注也：”《史记·魏其武安侯列传》：“及饮酒酣，夫起舞属丞相，丞相不起，夫从坐上语之，”司马贞注日：“若今之舞讫相劝。”
乍敛烟雾：烟雾刚刚散去。乍：初，刚刚。
陨星如箭：灯火如同箭一般划过天空。陨星：流星，此指元宵灯火：
一双莲影藕丝断：喻与相思的情人远离，音讯断绝。
消残蝶粉：艳妆消退二蝶粉，又作“蜒粉”，唐人宫妆。李商隐《酬崔八早梅有赠兼示之作》：“何处拂胸资婕粉，几时涂额藉蜂黄：”《野客丛书》引《草堂诗余注》：“蝰粉蜂黄，唐人宫妆也：”
韶光忒浅：美好的时光过于短暂。韶光：春光，美好的时光
暗尘笼撰：微尘缭绕书斋。撰：撰堂。书斋：撰著诗文的所在。

康熙年间，爱人不在，岁月已逝，词人在上元节时出去游玩，睹景思人，故而写下了这首词。

齐天乐·上元鉴赏
“阑珊火树鱼龙舞”，首句便道出上元节夜里的繁华景象，上元亦是元宵节，元宵佳节，家人团聚，上街观灯赏花，好不热闹。纳兰此处写的火树鱼龙舞，正是当时社会上，元宵节的热闹场景。而后一句写道：“望中宝钗楼远。”所谓“宝钗楼”是指歌楼酒肆，这首词是描写元宵节欢度之后，人们逐渐散去的场景，热闹过后愈发寂寞。那些本来还人满为患的酒肆饭庄，忽然之间就成了空阁，看到这些，纳兰内心不禁一阵寂寥。
“棘韬馀红，琉璃剩碧，待属花归缓缓。”花灯闹市问的花花绿绿，远看起来，仿佛琉璃般星星点点，十分美丽。可惜，这美丽只是一晚上的光阴而已，在夜深时分，随着夜深人静，这花灯会熄灭，这美丽也会黯淡。
“寒轻漏浅。正乍敛烟霏，陨星如箭。”纳兰总是能轻而易举地就从美好的事物中抽身出来，想到凄惨的过往，元宵佳节，本是赏灯愉悦的日子，可是在观赏完花灯之后。纳兰却又想起来过去。那不堪回首的往事，仿佛一支利剑，穿透他的心，让他感受到了痛彻心扉的疼痛。在美丽的夜色中，“旧事惊心，一双莲影藕丝断”。
“莫恨流年似水，恨消残蝶粉。韶光忒贱。”红颜已逝，岁月不饶人，想当日的大好青春时光，是多么意气风发。可现而今，却是人老心老，已经完全找不到当日的影踪了。纳兰暗暗苦闷。
“细语吹香，暗尘笼鬓，都逐晓风零乱。”这词里每一句都透露出纳兰内心的烦忧，与相爱的人相隔千里不能见面，这份痛楚不是人人都能够理解的。
“阑干敲遍。问帘底纤纤，甚时重见？”什么时候才能够重相见，纳兰是在问自己，也是在问苍天。可是，他的痛苦只有他自己知道，因为月亮不知道人的相思，偏偏要在今夜团圆。

纳兰性德（1655－1685），满洲人，字容若，号楞伽山人，清代最著名词人之一。其诗词“纳兰词”在清代以至整个中国词坛上都享有很高的声誉，在中国文学史上也占有光采夺目的一席。他生活于满汉融合时期，其贵族家庭兴衰具有关联于王朝国事的典型性。虽侍从帝王，却向往经历平淡。特殊的生活环境背景，加之个人的超逸才华，使其诗词创作呈现出独特的个性和鲜明的艺术风格。流传至今的《木兰花令·拟古决绝词》——“人生若只如初见，何事秋风悲画扇？等闲变却故人心，却道故人心易变。”富于意境，是其众多代表作之一。
