译文
秋意愈浓，心内惆怅愈发挥之不去。成天锁在深宅大院里，曲折的屏风后面，这些日子，风雨交加，我的心情灰暗异常。
雨过天晴之后，篱笆那边的菊花发出缕缕清香。人们说今天就是重阳节，回首看那凋残的秋云秋叶，黄昏时分，我不由得百感交集。
注释
清平乐：词牌名，又名《清平乐令》、《醉东风》、《忆萝月》，为宋词常用词牌。。双调四十六字，八句，前片四仄韵，后片三平韵。
将愁：长久之愁。将：长久之意。
六曲屏山：曲折之屏风。
重阳：重阳佳节。
凉云：阴凉之云。南朝齐谢朓《七夕赋》：“朱光既夕，凉云始浮。”

容若的这首词是否为一个女子所做，不得而知。或者这根本就不是容若为任何人写的词，而只是他在重阳之时，想起往昔，感怀往事的作品。

清平乐·将愁不去鉴赏
这首词是重阳节的感怀之作：绵绵清愁挥之不去，无尽的秋色也难以留住。屏风掩映下那深深的庭院，整日愁风冷雨，不曾停歇。好不容易天晴了，菊花吐露出芬芳，听说今天正是重阳节。回望天边那阴云和暮色中的树叶，不由产生无限的思绪。
与纳兰的这首《清平乐》相似的一首，是晏殊所写的一首《清平乐》，晏殊作为有名的词人，可以说是纳兰的前辈，晏殊那首《清平乐》如下：
金风细细，叶叶梧桐坠。绿酒初尝人易醉，一枕小窗浓睡。
紫薇朱槿花残，斜阳却照阑干。双燕欲归时节，银屏昨夜微寒。
晏殊的这首小词抒发初秋时节淡淡的哀愁，语言十分有分寸，意境讲究含蓄。同样是抒发内心惆怅，纳兰的《清平乐》就显得更为简单直接一些，说愁便直接写愁，简单明了地道出自己的烦恼。“将愁不去，秋色行难住。”愁苦无法挥去，就连美丽的秋色都无法挥去愁闷。此处“将愁”表示长久的愁闷，秋色最是伤人的，因勾寂寥，故而最能引起人们的伤感，因为迟暮。因而能让人们无法释怀。
在秋色中想挥手赶走哀愁，这无疑是愁上加愁，而纳兰也丝毫不避讳自己对于忧郁的无能为力，他坦然地告诉人们自己真的是“将愁不去”。比起晏殊的含蓄和隐藏，纳兰毫无忌讳地将自己内心深处的感受讲出来，丝毫不怕被世人址笑。
或者正是因为这份坦白。纳兰的词更显得有种直白的魅力，无人能够替代。接下一句是：“六曲屏山深院宇，日日风风雨雨。”屏风掩映下的庭院，日日风雨，愁云参淡，人在这里，就会被感染。
纳兰居住的庭院，为何会让他感到哀愁，其实境由心生，所谓的庭院深深，还不是自己内心凄苦，所以，才看什么都显出一副悲凉模样，是谁让纳兰如此哀伤，是住家的女子让纳兰神色清冽地立于窗前，眉头紧锁，无限恨，无限伤。
“雨晴篱菊初香，人言此日重阳。”下片的风格稍显婉转，不再如上片那样晦涩，下片写到天气放晴，菊花绽放，香气扑鼻。然后词人才恍然大悟，原来是正逢重阳之日。重阳是一个让人伤感的节日。古人写道“每逢佳节倍思亲”，说的便是重阳，重阳节是个让人思念故人的节日。纳兰身逢重阳，想起往日，必然是感慨万千。今昔往日，多少不同，而今一同从脑海中掠过，那些过往，仿佛还历历在目。
黄昏正在换取这一天里最后的一抹阳光，暮日下的世界，被覆上了迷离的光芒。黑暗即将到来，带走这一天的明亮，重阳节也很快就会过去。第二天依然是崭新的一天，“回首凉云暮叶，黄昏无限思量”。只是在这即将告别白日的时刻，纳兰回首天边的云朵和落木，心头不禁思绪万千。这首重阳节感伤的词，写出了词人深埋心底的忧伤。

纳兰性德（1655－1685），满洲人，字容若，号楞伽山人，清代最著名词人之一。其诗词“纳兰词”在清代以至整个中国词坛上都享有很高的声誉，在中国文学史上也占有光采夺目的一席。他生活于满汉融合时期，其贵族家庭兴衰具有关联于王朝国事的典型性。虽侍从帝王，却向往经历平淡。特殊的生活环境背景，加之个人的超逸才华，使其诗词创作呈现出独特的个性和鲜明的艺术风格。流传至今的《木兰花令·拟古决绝词》——“人生若只如初见，何事秋风悲画扇？等闲变却故人心，却道故人心易变。”富于意境，是其众多代表作之一。
