译文
刁钻的桃花蕊欣欣向荣，黎明时盛开在露井以东。
本依靠春风助才得怒放，回头来却打算嘲笑春风。
注释
无赖：刁钻蛮横。夭：形容草木茂盛。
平明：天大亮的时候。露井：没有盖的井。
为开了：“为”有帮助的意思，“开了”指开花的始终。
却：回头。拟：打算。笑：嘲笑。
嘲桃创作背景
李商隐为官时期，正是朝廷党争最烈、官场倾轧最凶的时期。朝廷分牛、李两大派，有些投机分子，肯定是今天捧牛嘲李，明天又捧李嘲牛。李商隐深受党争之害，对这样的投机分子也极为厌恶，但又不敢直言，只好借“嘲桃”，对此类人嗤之以鼻，创作了这首诗。

嘲桃鉴赏
桃花当然是美艳的，“无赖夭桃面，平明露井东”，可爱艳丽的小桃花在水井旁活泼地绽开着花蕊，那平静深碧的井水中也倒映出桃枝光彩洋溢的花影。井边一树桃花，这本身就是一幅生动的写意画，充满了诗意与色彩的明暗对比。桃花的美丽还在于它早开，桃李报春，得风气之先。那妖艳的花枝在和暖的春风中摇曳招展，风姿绰约，确是迷人。然而，就在桃花得意扬扬的时候，它忘了是谁将它催开。非但如此，它还一边炫耀它的美艳，一边却嘲笑它的恩人一一春风的无形无色。“春风为开了，却拟笑春风”，何等薄情，何其忘恩负义。美艳当然是值得骄傲的，但不可因此而自炫；美艳也不全是天生的，有时会得益于各种有利条件，所以，更不可因此而忘乎所以。“嘲桃”是一种比喻，愿人们以此诗中的夭桃为戒。
全诗采用讽谕的手法，表面嘲桃，实际嘲人。首句嘲桃之撒赖元行，次句嘲桃得意之早，三句嘲桃之无能耐，四句嘲桃以怨报德。从表到里，最终揭示了其卑劣无耻的本质，真是深入见骨。

李商隐，字义山，号玉溪（谿）生、樊南生，唐代著名诗人，祖籍河内（今河南省焦作市）沁阳，出生于郑州荥阳。他擅长诗歌写作，骈文文学价值也很高，是晚唐最出色的诗人之一，和杜牧合称“小李杜”，与温庭筠合称为“温李”，因诗文与同时期的段成式、温庭筠风格相近，且三人都在家族里排行第十六，故并称为“三十六体”。其诗构思新奇，风格秾丽，尤其是一些爱情诗和无题诗写得缠绵悱恻，优美动人，广为传诵。但部分诗歌过于隐晦迷离，难于索解，至有“诗家总爱西昆好，独恨无人作郑笺”之说。因处于牛李党争的夹缝之中，一生很不得志。死后葬于家乡沁阳（今河南焦作市沁阳与博爱县交界之处）。作品收录为《李义山诗集》。
