长爱碧阑干影，芙蓉秋水开时。脸红凝露学娇啼。霞觞熏冷艳，云髻袅纤枝。
烟雨依前时候，霜丛如旧芳菲。与谁同醉采香归。去年花下客，今似蝶分飞。
临江仙·长爱碧阑干影鉴赏
这是一首描写荷花的词。头两句总写荷塘全景，园林修筑精美，池边护以阑干，芙蓉开时，水光、花色、阑干影，构成了美妙的景色。“秋水”二字，既交代季节时令，更说明池水的清澈。以下三句，好像推近了摄像镜头，用特写的手法突出描绘艳丽的荷花。“脸红凝露学娇啼”一句，把盛开的花朵比喻为美女的脸颊，艳红的颜色如同敷上了一层又薄又匀的胭脂，而花瓣上的露珠则像是美女娇啼的泪痕。显然这是“拟人化”的艺术手法，以花拟人，以人比花，既写外在的形貌颜色，也写内在的情感思绪，是颇具匠心的。以下两句，仍然延续拟人手法并且进一步伸展开来：黄昏时分，落霞与酒杯一色，“薰”染着荷花，呈现着一片“冷艳”；花朵在荷梗上袅袅微颤，好像是凌波微步时美女的发髻。上片调动多种修辞手段，极力描绘荷花之美，下片抒写离别之情，仍然围绕着荷花而展开。时届深秋，烟雨风霜依旧，又是采莲时候。荷花已然结成莲蓬，池塘经霜以后，只剩下了一片枯枝败叶，这景象当然不免有些萧瑟悲凉，但作者把采莲称作“采香”，却仍然保留着对荷花的一丝眷恋之情。最后两句，归结到深切的感叹上——“去年花下客，今似蝶分飞”。时光的流逝夹带着人世的变迁，追思往昔，何以胜情，词章虽已终结而其余韵犹在回荡。

晏几道（1030-1106，一说1038—1110 ，一说1038-1112），男，汉族，字叔原，号小山，著名词人，抚州临川文港沙河（今属江西省南昌市进贤县）人。晏殊第七子。历任颍昌府许田镇监、乾宁军通判、开封府判官等。性孤傲，晚年家境中落。词风哀感缠绵、清壮顿挫。一般讲到北宋词人时，称晏殊为大晏，称晏几道为小晏。《雪浪斋日记》云：“晏叔原工小词，不愧六朝宫掖体。”如《鹧鸪天》中的“舞低杨柳楼心月，歌尽桃花扇底风”等等词句，备受人们的赞赏。
