译文
封将军新近消灭了胡人的主力，战士们和战马也都大口地喘着粗气。
敌人被消灭干净，边塞一片萧索、寥落，险峻的天山依旧那么孤单地高耸屹立。
注释
都护：此处指封常清。
虏尘净：一作“虏塞净”，指没有战争。
天山：横贯新疆中部，西部入中亚西亚，全长2500公里。
灭胡曲鉴赏
这首诗作于公元755年（天宝十四年），主要描写边疆安宁时战士们的生活情景。
前二句，“气亦粗”写出战士们征战极为辛苦劳累，又可见战士们因战胜敌人而士气高昂，欢欣鼓舞，还可见战士们为来之不易的安宁而高兴的同时，也有稍加休憩的愿望。如此复杂的思想感情，诗人准确地抓住了人马都大口呼吸的典型细节，并纤毫毕现地表现出来。想必当时诗人和战士们一样，也是“气亦粗”，于是抑制不住内心那份创作冲动，感而为义，发而为诗。
后二句，“净”字极言边塞十分安宁，也饱含着胜利的喜悦，还饱含着对艰苦征战的回味咀嚼。“孤”字既写出了天山突兀而出的奇景，更是诗人面对边疆安宁、寂寞的景象时放达心境的体现。“虏尘净”、“天山孤”两相对照，生动地反映了以前胡人驰骋天山，曾经耀武扬威、不可一世，如今天山依旧，胡人已遁迹远去这一变化过程。
全诗读来，如闻战阵的战鼓之声，短促有力，铿锵动人，掷地有声，毫不拖泥带水，于极短的篇幅中，有叙事、有写景，形象地刻画出边塞平静时的生活情景，表现了诗人奋战边塞的万丈豪情和卓越的艺术水平。

岑参（约715-770年），唐代边塞诗人，南阳人，太宗时功臣岑文本重孙，后徙居江陵。[1-2] 岑参早岁孤贫，从兄就读，遍览史籍。唐玄宗天宝三载（744年）进士，初为率府兵曹参军。后两次从军边塞，先在安西节度使高仙芝幕府掌书记；天宝末年，封常清为安西北庭节度使时，为其幕府判官。代宗时，曾官嘉州刺史（今四川乐山），世称“岑嘉州”。大历五年（770年）卒于成都。
