译文
在临近水的地方随意地骑马迟暮归家，到家反而心情不平静。在暮霭中听到几支笛奏的乐曲，秋天的天气阴暗沉重，西山已见淡雪，浓云也已为之凝冻了。
谁与我共饮一杯美酒呢，席中用妓妾的歌舞下酒。腰带佩系着金鱼袋，出外时被仪仗旗帜簇拥。鱼袋旌旆的荣华富贵义有什么用呢？只能作为如梦的人生中一个装饰而已。
注释
渔家傲：词牌名，北宋流行，有用以作“十二月鼓子词”者，也是曲牌名，南北曲均有。
纵横：奔放，不受拘束。鞚（kòng）：有嚼口的马络头。
梅笛：吹奏《梅花落》笛曲。弄：乐曲，曲调；又乐曲一阕或演奏一遍称一弄。几弄，几阕乐曲。
尊：泛称一切酒器。舞雪：形容舞女的动作迅速，其衣袖飘动如雪片回旋。
腰跨金鱼：腰间挂着鱼袋佩饰。金鱼，又称“鱼袋”，宋代以之表明官阶身分，需翰林学士及中书堂后官，始可佩之。旌旆（jīng pèi）：古代旗帜名， “旌”缀旄牛尾于竿头，下有五彩析羽，用以指挥和开道。“旆”是旗末状如燕尾的垂旒。这里“旌旆”泛指护卫旗帜。
浮生梦：谓世事虚浮无定，生命短暂，有如一场梦。

宋哲宗元祐八年（1093年）十月词人自汴京（今河南开封）赴定州太守任途中，词人为了记录当时自己感悟人生的情绪波动，于是作下这首词。

上片起首，突现了词人意志豪壮的英武气势。“临水纵横回晚鞋”，他骑着金镀银鞍辔马，奔驰在水滨，豪纵奔放，无所拘束，一直到晚上才勒住马缰驶向归程：“归来转觉情怀动”，一旦回到居处，竟忽然情怀转向波动。“梅笛烟中闻几弄”，远远听到《梅花落》的笛声吹奏几曲，顿时感到“秋阴重，西山雪淡云凝冻”，一种莫名的压抑感霎时涌上心头。此时此地的词人，他闻笛声而感到“秋阴重”，是很真切自然的。十月的北方，气候转冷，西山已见淡雪，浓云也已为之凝冻了。
下片着重描绘壮行送别的激动场面和个人的抑郁心态。“美酒一杯谁与共。尊前舞雪狂歌送。腰跨金鱼旌旆拥”，词人独自身着庄重的朝廷命服，与送行人饮酒话别，席中有佳丽妙女为之歌唱狂舞，自己腰挎金鱼佩饰，有齐整的旌旗卫队前呼后拥，情景显得十分威严壮观。然而，到结语，词情却突然转向滑落：“将何用，只堪妆点浮生梦。”而与首句的“临水纵横回晚鞋”形成强烈反差。这些威严和排场又有什么用呢？在词人看来，只能是妆点他的世间虚浮无定的梦境罢了。词人当时沉重异常，心情十分沮丧，还有一生中坎坷挫折经历的深刻教训，时时笼罩着他的头脑，心潮起伏，慨叹人生，理所当然。
全词悲壮苍凉，诗魂飘渺，在情思的波动和落差中，强化了浮生若梦的理念；词章表面轰轰烈烈、笔势奇纵，却成为表现词人内心抑郁的铺垫。

苏轼（1037－1101），北宋文学家、书画家、美食家。字子瞻，号东坡居士。汉族，四川人，葬于颍昌（今河南省平顶山市郏县）。一生仕途坎坷，学识渊博，天资极高，诗文书画皆精。其文汪洋恣肆，明白畅达，与欧阳修并称欧苏，为“唐宋八大家”之一；诗清新豪健，善用夸张、比喻，艺术表现独具风格，与黄庭坚并称苏黄；词开豪放一派，对后世有巨大影响，与辛弃疾并称苏辛；书法擅长行书、楷书，能自创新意，用笔丰腴跌宕，有天真烂漫之趣，与黄庭坚、米芾、蔡襄并称宋四家；画学文同，论画主张神似，提倡“士人画”。著有《苏东坡全集》和《东坡乐府》等。
