译文
岑公是相门之子，有着谢安一样的雅望。
世代都有腾飞的巨龙，中台级别的就有三人。
至人发达自有先兆，举手高揖九州伯，却不愿意为臣。
无可奈何在天地直间，成为隐沦客。
大道贵在深得全真，飞龙有时也潜辉幽卧。
不妨趁此时探讨宇宙人生奥秘，观化神游在无垠的宇宙之中。
光武帝拥有天下以后，严子陵作为他的老朋友，不愿意为臣。
虽然登上光武帝在洛阳的宫殿，也不愿意放弃巢由样的隐士身份。
我也曾经谢辞过明主，如今自称傲慢而穷困之臣。
登高而思万古，真想与仙人广成子为邻。
鲁仲连为朋友能蹈海而死，难道他会接受赏赐，我还山以后就不屑再去官场问津了。
西风来了，我会像晋朝的宰相王导一样摇扇遮鼻，不愿意沾上官场的半点气息。
注释
征君：隐居不应朝廷征聘的人。
相门子：征君盖与诗人岑参同族，故云。岑参《感旧赋序》：“国家六叶，吾门三相矣。”
安石：东晋谢安，字安石。
奕世：累世。
夔龙：传说舜时的两位贤臣。
中台：星名，三台（上台、中台、下台）之一。古谓三公上应三台。
拆：通“坼”，分开，裂开。
机兆：事机的先兆。
揖：揖而不拜。
九州伯：九州之长官。句指隐而不仕。
潜辉：藏辉。
邻:全诗校：“一作鳞。”
元：同“玄”。窅默:幽深难测。
无垠：无形状之貌。
光武：用严光事。
偃蹇：傲世之意。
广成：即广成子。
蹈海：用鲁仲连事。
西来：全诗校”一作终期“。
元规尘：晋庾亮字元规。此以“元规尘”喻权臣之盛气凌人。

天宝三年（744年），李白被排挤出京，唐玄宗赐金放还。此后，李白在江淮一带盘桓，思想极度烦闷，又重新踏上了云游祖国山河的漫漫旅途。

岑公相门子，雅望归安石。
至人达机兆，高揖九州伯。
贵道能全真，潜辉卧幽邻。
光武有天下，严陵为故人。
余亦谢明主，今称偃蹇臣。
蹈海宁受赏，还山非问津。
李白被赶出长安，心情无限激愤和失望。但又看不见别的出路，因而也更加苦闷。在这首送岑征君归隐的诗里，这激愤、失望，苦闷的心情一齐迸发出来，化为对唐玄宗统治集团的控诉和同黑暗政治现实决裂的誓言。
第一部分（1～4句）是写岑征君是相门之子，有着谢安一样的雅望。诗人以丰富的想象，大胆的夸张，生动的比喻，以腾飞的巨龙比喻岑征君卓越的才能，充分体现了他创作方法上的浪漫主义的艺术特色。
第二部分（5～12句）是写送别岑征君当时的情景和想象岑征君归隐鸣皋山的原因。诗中写岑征君有卓越的才能，但竟不容于世，反衬了现实的黑暗。征君归隐鸣皋山虽是无可奈何之举，但隐居生活非常的幽深凄清、恬淡纯净，同权贵专权，尔虞我诈的黑暗现实对立的。无论是送别的情景，还是想象中的隐居生活又都表现了诗人极为苦闷的心情。
第三部分（13～20句），诗中描述的君主是封建时代谦恭下士的帝王的典范；而贤士又都是性格傲岸、蔑视权贵的典型。李白在诗中徵引这些古人的典故，用意无非是两个，一是提出一种理想化的君臣关系，借以批评唐玄宗的“轻士”；二是表明自己平交帝王的态度，决不以牺牲人格来换取功名。李白的这种追求人格价值的理想，产生在盛唐政治开明的社会历史土壤中，受到自由浪漫的时代精神的培养和滋育，代表了中国封建时代知识分子富有人格价值、值得布衣寒士骄傲的人生追求。
到了第四部分（21～24句），诗人则把满腔激愤，失望和苦闷的心情，写成了痛快淋漓的揭露与斥责。在唐玄宗统治集团统治下，黑白颠倒，是非不分，奸佞得志，贤才受辱的黑暗政治。诗人表示，再也不能在这个黑暗的现实里呆下去了。这里，他又是用否定一切现实生活，以消极归隐的形式来表达他的反抗的，当然反映了他思想中的消极因素。

李白（701年－762年），字太白，号青莲居士，唐朝浪漫主义诗人，被后人誉为“诗仙”。祖籍陇西成纪(待考)，出生于西域碎叶城，4岁再随父迁至剑南道绵州。李白存世诗文千余篇，有《李太白集》传世。762年病逝，享年61岁。其墓在今安徽当涂，四川江油、湖北安陆有纪念馆。
