释守慧，俗姓陈，兴化（今福建莆田）人。住江州圆通院，迁潭州大沩山。政和中，三入内庭说法，赐号冲真密印通慧。为南岳下十五世，圆通旻禅师法嗣。《嘉泰普灯录》卷一三、《五灯会元》卷一八、《续补高僧传》卷一○有传。
