释义怀（九九三～一○六四），俗姓陈，世称天衣怀。温州（今属浙江）人。为青原下十一世，雪窦显禅师法嗣。落发于汴京景德寺。仁宗天圣中试经得度。凡住楂林、天衣等八刹。晚以疾居池阳杉山庵，门弟子智才迎住临安佛日寺。英宗治平元年卒，年七十二。徽宗崇宁中赐谥振宗大师。事见《宝晋英光集》卷七《天衣怀禅师碑》、《禅林僧宝传》卷一一及《五灯会元》卷一六。今录诗五首。
