宋普州安岳人，字允南。初名献能。时称鸿硕先生。嘉祐二年进士。熙宁末，为秘书丞、通判梓州。邓绾荐为台官，不就，退居二十年。后范祖禹荐于朝，官终祠部郎中。有《春秋通解》、《冯安岳集》。
