晁宗悫，字世良，生于太宗雍熙二年(985年)。以父荫为秘书省校书郎，屡献歌颂，宋真宗大中祥符年间召舍人院赐进士及第，大中祥符八年(1015年)除馆阁校勘兼注释御集检阅官。三迁大理寺丞。仁宗即位，迁殿中丞、同修起居注。仁宗天圣二年(1024年)为集贤校理，曾校定《黄帝内经》、《素问》、《难经》、《巢氏病源候》等医学文献。景祐三年(1036年)，人翰林为学士，后兼龙图阁学士、权发遣开封府事，康定元年(1040年)任参知政事，庆历二年(1042年)卒，享年五十八，赠工部尚书，谥文庄。
