游九言（1142-1206），初名九思，字诚之，号默斋，建阳（今属福建）人。早年从学张栻，以祖荫入仕，曾举江西漕司进士第一。历古田尉，江川绿事参军，沿海制司干官。孝宗淳熙十五年（1188），监文思院上界。后入张栻广西、江陵帅幕，以不附时相罢。宁宗庆元年（1196），起为江东抚干，调全椒令，以不便养亲丐祠。开禧初，辟为淮西安抚司机宜文字，又以不附韩侂胄罢。有语录诗文集，已佚，后人辑为《默斋遗稿》二卷。事见《永乐大典》卷八八四三引《建安志》。
