吾丘衍（1272—1311）元代金石学家，印学奠基人。浙江开化县华埠镇孔埠人。一作吾衍，清初避孔丘讳，作吾邱衍，字子行，号贞白，又号竹房、竹素，别署真白居士、布衣道士，世称贞白先生，秉性豪放，左目失明，右脚痞跛，行动仍频有风度。嗜古学，通经史百家言，工篆隶，谙音律，书法以隶和小篆见长。洽印不为成法的固，印文用玉箸篆，圆润秀劲，著有《周秦石刻释音》、《闲居录》、《竹素山房诗集》、《学古编》等。《学古编》成书于大德庚子（13OO）年，卷一为《三十五举》，乃是我国最早研究印学理论的著述。次载《合用文籍品目》，尾系附录。
