元末明初诗人、养生家，京城老字号“鹤年堂”创始人。 诗人，有《丁鹤年集》传世。 著名孝子，为明初十大孝子之一。以73岁高龄为母守灵达17载，直到90岁去世。《四库全书》中收录的《丁孝子传》和《丁孝子诗》即是他的事迹。诗开篇赞曰：“丁鹤年精诚之心上达九天，丁鹤年精诚之心下达九泉。”
