金湜，字本清，号朽木居士（无声诗史作枯木居士）。又号太瘦生，鄞（今浙江宁波）人。正统六年（一四四一）举於乡，以习古书法授中书舍人，升太仆寺丞。篆、隶、行、草，绰有汉晋人风度。又善摹印篆，写竹石甚佳，其钧勒竹尤妙。《图绘宝鉴续纂》、《宁波志》、《怀麓堂集》、《明画录》、《广印人传》
