入山取椑随，为待终焉翁。翁年八十一，三万化日中。
即尽亦已足，无复芥心胸。昨闭烟霞关，悭不与人同。
今归天堂土，骨肉等蒿蓬。毁誉满天下，同时并成空。
但恨在生时，所志末由从。为子未尽孝，为臣未尽忠。
致君本无术，为民没成功。毁方愧瓦合，直行悲途穷。
今则誓长往，聚散大化工。天道尚去来，人理有始终。

（1466—1560）广东增城人，字元明，号甘泉。少师事陈献章。弘治十八年进士，授编修。历南京国子监祭酒，南京吏、礼，兵三部尚书。在翰林院时与王守仁同时讲学，主张“随处体认天理”，“知行并进”，反对“知先行后”，与阳明之说有所不同。后筑西樵讲舍讲学，学者称甘泉先生。卒谥文简。著有《心性图说》、《格物通》、《甘泉集》等。
