赵善鸣，字元默。顺德人。明孝宗弘治十四年（一五〇一年）举人。任南京户部员外郎，官至曲靖知府。游于白沙之门。工书法，其行草入神品，为世珍宝。人称丹山先生。著有《朱鸟洞集》。清道光《广东通志》卷二七四有传。
