蔡汝楠（1514～1565）字子木，号白石，明湖州德清（今属浙江省）人。8岁侍父听讲于甘泉（湛若水）门下，每每有所解悟。年十八中嘉靖十一年（1532）进士，授职行人，不久升刑部外郎，迁职到南京刑部，与尚书顾麟引为忘年交。
