去冬九旬已渴雨，那意今春渴尤苦。
自开正元越三月，生意全蛰不闯吐。
阳威烈烈炽盛夏，田野熬熬剧焦釜。
新秧既长且乾萎，播种无由可入土。
农民望雨若倒垂，类叹天命我无所。
太守念膺民命寄，如伤体肤痛心膂。
奔祷山川社稷前，下及百祠靡不举。
坛告雷师雷莫闻，江叩龙神龙弗顾。
间或沾酒随即收，翘想滂霈殊乌有。
日切一日不遑宁，直欲代牲实笾俎。
精虔充积四十朝，幽明贯彻忽无阻。
季春望夜五鼓余。瓦鸣琢琢檐垂缕。
起来四顾云黑暝，阿香驱车震鼍鼓。
甘霔一番复一番，达昼倾贫莫之御。
东阡西陌土膏溶，负耒荷锄翕旁午。
父语其子兄语弟，或曰我侯感格故。
滴滴皆是真珠饭，天救我民赐我哺。
非我下民能动天，侯泽我民如父母。

陈淳，1483年生，1544年逝世（另一种说法是1482—1539），长洲（今江苏苏州）人。字道复，后以字行，更字复甫，号白阳，又号白阳山人。他的有些作品，所画质朴，可以看出受沈周画法的影响， 从他现存作品中即可见风格和用笔，既能放得开，又能收得住。在绘画史上，陈淳与徐渭并称为“白阳、青藤”， 陈淳的绘画当属文人隽雅一路的，即“白阳”一派画家。
