今之瓦亭古萧关，陇山丛错高插天。迤北直趋朔方郡，汉唐师出由其间。
迤南六盘势尤雄，卓然踞地朝群峰。俯窥金城扼天水，矫若八翼排长风。
当时问道轩辕回，秦皇汉武夸雄才。六飞登山并骋望，昔之旌旗安在哉！
连峰积雪照天白，鸟飞荡荡不敢越，秦川东望空茫然。
但闻陇头流水声呜咽，使人对此肠断绝。有元之世南道通，从此径达河湟中。
国朝因之遂不改，悬军万里收青海。尔来防边诸健儿，驰驱峻阪如坦夷。
边郡转饷岁不绝，名王共入时有之。传车骆驿悉经此，嵯峨长作西藩篱。
书生有笔徒纵横，抵掌未勒燕然铭。愿假崆峒一片石，上为国家颂威德。
传之三十六属国，率尔梯航万世无终极。

（1797—1871）湖北监利人，字子寿。道光二十四年进士，授刑部主事。旋乞归。专事讲学。生平博涉经史，肆力诗古文辞，不喜章句考据，自负有经世之略，文集所收书札，与曾国藩、左宗棠等论兵事者，为数颇多。有《枢言》、《导江议》、《子寿诗钞》等，总为《百柱堂全集》。
