《劝农》鉴赏
原文
悠悠上古，厥初生民。
傲然自足，抱朴含真。
智巧既萌，资待靡因。
谁其赡之，实赖哲人。
哲人伊何？时维后稷。
赡之伊何？实曰播殖。
舜既躬耕，禹亦稼穑。
远若周典，八政始食。
熙熙令德，猗猗原陆。
卉木繁荣，和风清穆。
纷纷士女，趋时竞逐。
桑妇宵兴，农夫野宿。
气节易过，和泽难久。
冀缺携俪，沮溺结耦。
相彼贤达，犹勤陇亩。
矧兹众庶，曳裾拱手！
民生在勤，勤则不匮。
宴安自逸，岁暮奚冀！
儋石不储，饥寒交至。
顾尔俦列，能不怀愧！
孔耽道德，樊须是鄙。
董乐琴书，田园不履。
若能超然，投迹高轨，
敢不敛衽，敬赞德美。
赏析
此诗共六章，第一章言上古之时百姓的朴素生活。第二章追述后稷播植自给，舜禹躬耕稼穑，都十分重视农业劳动。第三章写古代士女竞相耕作，时代清明，农人安然自逸。第四章写古代贤达之人尚且躬耕，众人庶士更当勤于耕种，以保自安。第五章谈耕作的重要性。“民生在勤，勤则不匮”是劝农的根本所在，否则便会斗米不储，“饥寒交至”。第六章反面强调要重视农耕，孔子、董仲舒专心学业，不事农耕的行为高不可攀，借以批评那些既不劳作又不进德修业的人。
全诗环环相扣，强调农耕对生计的重要意义，即便舜禹那样的贤君，贤达的隐士，都躬耕自保，更何况普通的老百姓呢？然劝农躬耕是其一意。诗人于劝农耕作中呈现出的“卉木繁荣，和风清穆”的上古气象，“傲然自足，抱朴含真”的淳朴民风，是其真正仰慕的对象。诗人写景观物，情致高远，无不体现出旷远的性情。

陶渊明（约365年—427年），字元亮，（又一说名潜，字渊明）号五柳先生，私谥“靖节”，东晋末期南朝宋初期诗人、文学家、辞赋家、散文家。汉族，东晋浔阳柴桑人（今江西九江）。曾做过几年小官，后辞官回家，从此隐居，田园生活是陶渊明诗的主要题材，相关作品有《饮酒》、《归园田居》、《桃花源记》、《五柳先生传》、《归去来兮辞》等。
