译文
秋夜月光洒满整片大地，我举起酒杯，对问无际的桂树下的月影：其中是什么东西呢？一叶小船独行在万顷波涛中，四周全是山峰环绕。我拿起船桨击打船舷高唱一曲，嫦娥仿佛要从天而降，挥舞着万里的冰雪。京城尘土千丈，怎能容得下如此人杰？
回首赤壁石旁边，骑鲸的人已经远去，不知过了多少载春秋。长空浩荡，千古之梦，也只得灰飞烟灭。我愿随着东坡，乘着风归去，披头散发。三山在何处？玉箫的乐声吹断了月亮皎洁的光芒。
注释
大江东去：词牌名，即“念奴娇”。该词牌双调一百字，前后阕各四仄韵，一韵到底，不甚拘平仄。上下阕后七句字数平仄相同。
苍苍：无边无际、空阔辽远的样子。
扁（piān）舟：小船。
粘天：贴近天，仿佛与天相连。
枻（yì）：船舷。
矶（jī）：石头。
骑鲸人：本指唐代李白，这里借指苏轼。
澹澹（dàn dàn）：水波荡漾的样子。
今古：一作“千古”。
麒麟发：散乱的头发。

该词创作于金朝衰败的时候。作者赵秉文非常仰慕苏轼，深受苏轼词作的影响。这首词是赵秉文对苏轼《念奴娇·赤壁怀古》的和韵之作。词作者因对苏轼被谪黄州际遇的深切同情与不平，且自己忧国忧民，但又无力挽救国之危亡，产生消极出世的的思想，写下了这篇借古讽今的词作。

词的上片以问月起句。以“桂影”代月，以“秋光”衬托“桂影”，又以“苍苍”形容秋光，一片高洁苍凉之气，横空而降。古诗词以“问月”起笔，以苏轼为例，就有其《水调歌头》“明月几时有？把酒问清天”的千古绝唱。该词问月，虽化用苏词，却亦有新意。他的问月，点明了作词的时间：深秋的月明之夜，（当年苏轼游赤壁也恰是秋凉之夜）。他问：“苍苍桂影，其中何物”，其实答案已经巧寓其中：“桂影“之中，桂影而已。”所以，他的问月，不是在于探求，而是在于借问月点明作词的时间：秋季的月明之夜。这也正是东坡游览赤壁的时间。随后，作者笔锋一转，由月及人，此情此景，与当年一叶扁舟夜游赤壁的苏东坡极度相似。
“叩枻长歌，嫦娥欲下，万里挥冰雪”皆是对苏轼《赤壁赋》语意的隐括，虽只寥寥数语，但当年苏轼夜游赤壁的情景却尽观读者眼前，真是于平淡处见功力。“京尘千丈，可形容此人杰？”虽是问句，却表达了词作者的深切感慨。这两句从技法上来看，不仅由写景转入了抒情，也起到了承上启下的作用。下片由此句的“人杰”不得见容“引发到”骑鲸人去“，由对苏轼一生坎坷际遇的深切同情及愤慨，转入自抒悲感。”几度山花发“写苏轼逝后光阴的流逝，读来不禁让人唏嘘不已，感慨万千。”澹澹长空今古梦，只有归鸿明天“化用杜牧《登乐游原》”长空澹澹孤鸟设，万声销沉向此中“句，表露了作者吊古伤今，消极悲观的人生态度。”我欲从公“三句则语意更加决绝，欲与苏轼仙去，消极出世的思想更加表露无疑。但毕竟仙山难寻，只有徘徊月下，把满腔心事寄于玉箫罢了，故有”三山安在“句结尾。感怀、悲戚、无奈之意萦绕不绝。

赵秉文（1159～1232）金代学者、书法家。字周臣，号闲闲居士，晚年称闲闲老人。磁州滏阳（今河北磁县）人。世宗大定二十五年进士，调安塞主簿。历平定州刺史，为政宽简。累拜礼部尚书。哀宗即位，改翰林学士，同修国史。历仕五朝，自奉如寒士，未尝一日废书。能诗文，诗歌多写自然景物，又工草书，所著有《闲闲老人滏水文集》。
