与君定交初，乃在乙酉春。是时杨贵竹，开府京江滨。
其性颇好客，客来多俊民。史邢暨万宋，才华更清新。
日夕造君庐，披豁任天真。君尤笃爱我，相对但含颦。
私忧南国乱，汲汲谋隐沦。遥指莺脰湖，水乡风俗淳。
从无兵燹患，乐彼渔樵人。三月十九日，先皇之忌辰。
同登北顾山，仰首号苍旻。野老或见怜，朝士反见嗔。
俄而江北岸，鼓角声振振。君先挈妻子，湖村依所亲。
我亦携小妇，追随为比邻。此地既幽僻，可以长垂纶。
君复有远图，舍我游越闽。三岁始归来，道路罹百屯。
我适无所为，卖卜润城闉。一见喜欲狂，茅屋共宵晨。
曾将卖卜钱，买酒醉千巡。无何江上别，东西各风尘。
弹指十二年，迥若吴与秦。己亥黄河边，邂逅疑有神。
因过范生宅，连床话经旬。赠答非一篇，相期保松筠。
别后又五载，闻君家益贫。田园被侵夺，赋税犹在身。
寄居荒山中，妻子行负薪。癸卯春三月，京江重问津。
维舟即相访，奇穷果无伦。颠毛种种白，颜面黑且皴。
破帽与敝衣，何减百结鹑。况当十九日，言之鼻酸辛。
仍往北顾山，乱石迷荆榛。旅人不敢上，一恸何繇申。
是夕返我寓，呼童采江蘋。取酒酹灯前，心曲难具陈。
回思廿年事，惘如梦中因。夜半作此诗，龙钟泪沾巾。

方文（1612---1669）字尔止，号嵞山，原名孔文，字尔识，明亡后更名一耒，别号淮西山人、明农、忍冬，安徽安庆府桐城人，今桐城市区凤仪里人。方大铉长子。明末诸生，入清不仕，靠游食、卖卜、行医或充塾师为生，与复社、几社中人交游，以气节自励。方文之诗前期学杜，多苍老之作；后期专学白居易，明白如话，长于叙事，早年与钱澄之齐名，后与方贞观、方世举并称“桐城三诗家”，著有《嵞山集》。
