破山之麓兴福寺，庭有双珠树。状为缨络抱佳趣，上有虬干干青云，下有垂条苍苍拂行路。
传闻植自齐梁间，龙山北涧诗未删。名贤新声更间起，野人对此怡心颜。
兹树笃生有妙理，左兮开花右结子。山鸟不敢巢其巅，猿猱鼷鼠不敢穴其里。
岂曰硕果宜留存，天地亦若为尔培灵根。或欲斩其根，披其枝，当风杂叠摧烧之。
树若有灵听我前致词，泰山山头千尺松，只今已受秦皇封。
斧斤柯石遍海内，尔树安得仍以不材终。君不见七星坛前七株桧，昭明手泽今何在。
又不见三峰数仞丹桂花，可怜劖削无萌芽。万物成毁固有数，生无挂碍死无怖。
尔住四高僧前千百年，闻吾此言当恍然。

陈瑚（1613—1675）明末清初学者，与同里陆世仪、江士韶、盛敬齐名，被人合称为“太仓四先生”。字言夏，号确庵、无闷道人、七十二潭渔父，尝居江苏太仓小北门外。崇祯十六年（1643）举人。其父邃于经学，家教有法。陈瑚少时与陆世仪等交，论学相辩驳，贯通五经，务为实学。又善横槊、舞剑、弯弓、注矢，其击刺妙天下。清圣祖康熙十四年卒，年六十二岁。其墓葬在直塘镇北二十九都使字圩。卒后门人私谥其为“安道先生”。在光绪年间，邑人曾出资在太仓南门大街西首，建立四先生祠，春秋致祭，以示敬仰。《清史》有传。
