霜降碧天静，秋事促西风。寒声隐地，初听中夜入梧桐。起瞰高城回望，寥落关河千里，一醉与君同。叠鼓闹清晓，飞骑引雕弓。
译文：九月望日，与客习射西园，余偶病不能射，客较胜相先。将领岳德，弓强二石五斗，连发三中的，观者尽惊。因作此词示坐客。前一夕大风，是日始寒。九月十五日，宾客们在西园练习射箭，我却因病不能练习，客人明显可以取胜。岳德将领，弓的力量比二石五斗还要多，仍能三发连中，观看的宾客都很吃惊。因此写下此词展示给宾客，前一天晚上还是大风，第二天就开始寒冷了。九月霜降，碧天澄静，秋气回旋催促西风括动。半夜初听隐隐轻寒的风声，摇撼着潇潇落叶梧桐。强支病体登上高高的城墙上俯视顾望，唯见萧瑟的关山河水无边无际，拚上一醉与君辈豪饮乐同。阵阵战鼓闹醒了清晓，练兵场上骏马飞奔驰突，矫健的骑士个个拉满雕弓。
注释：九月望日，与客习射西园，余偶病不能射，客较胜相先。将领岳德，弓强二石五斗，连发三中的，观者尽惊。因作此词示坐客。前一夕大风，是日始寒。水调歌头：词牌名，双调，上片九句，押四平韵，48字，下片十句，押四平韵，47字，共95字。上下片中的两个六言句，宋人常兼押仄声韵，也可平仄互韵或句句押韵。秋事：指秋收，制寒衣等事。
岁将晚，客争笑，问衰翁。平生豪气安在，沈领为谁雄。何似当筵虎士，挥手弦声响处，双雁落遥空。老矣真堪愧，回首望云中。
译文：时光易逝，诸位缘何都笑问老翁;平生的豪气如今在哪？纵横驰骋，谁才是真正的英雄？我怎比席间如龙似虎的猛士，挥手处，弦声响，箭贯双雁坠落在遥远的蓝空。年华老大真感惭愧，但身衰心未老，回头望，心在北方的云中。
注释：衰翁：作者自称。虎士：勇士，指岳德。云中：指云中郎，为汉代北方边防重镇，以此代指边防。

叶梦得(1077～1148) 宋代词人。字少蕴。苏州吴县人。绍圣四年(1097)登进士第，历任翰林学士、户部尚书、江东安抚大使等官职。晚年隐居湖州弁山玲珑山石林，故号石林居士，所著诗文多以石林为名，如《石林燕语》、《石林词》、《石林诗话》等。绍兴十八年卒，年七十二。死后追赠检校少保。 在北宋末年到南宋前半期的词风变异过程中，叶梦得是起到先导和枢纽作用的重要词人。作为南渡词人中年辈较长的一位，叶梦得开拓了南宋前半期以"气"入词的词坛新路。叶词中的气主要表现在英雄气、狂气、逸气三方面。
