烽火一息三千年，汉家将军画凌烟。
胡儿不识征战事，龙沙万里今桑田。
丽谯声里梅花角，云暗雪深风色恶。
长嘶一骑骢蝉联，狼帽氈裘寒矍铄。
韛鹰走犬登平冈，狂狐剔眼魂飞扬。
贯雕落雁真戏剧，高鸟略尽良弓藏。
凤鸣居士双眼碧，少年读书勇无敌。
但知横行翰墨场，岂料一禽终不获。
向来百非今已无，笔端有口聊自娱。
故将胸中磊落事，写作人间雪猎图。

王平子，南宋吴郡(今苏州)人。今存词一首。录如下：《谒金门·春恨》：“书一纸，小砑吴笺香细。读到别来心下事，蹙残眉上翠。怕落傍人眼底，握向酥胸儿里。针线不忺收拾起，和衣和闷睡。”词写一女子收到旅外情郎寄回书信时的心情和动作，表达了对远方情人的深深思念。
