悠悠望千载，千载未久陈。共此山川居，世代递疏亲。
贻谋逮孙子，辽远如越秦。名氏成杳绝，丘墓同飘尘。

百不一可究，六艺俱沈沦。默默忽返顾，造化如我宾。

罗洪先（1504－1564），字达夫，号念庵，汉族，江西吉安府吉水黄橙溪（今吉水县谷村）人，明代学者，杰出的地理制图学家。一生奋发于地理学等科学的研究，“考图观史“，发现当时地图多疏密失准、远近错误，于是亲自外出调查收集资料，准备重新编一内容丰富、地理位置准确的地图，以计里画方之法，创立地图符号图例，绘成《广舆图》。创编成地图集形式，不仅继承了朱思本制图法，还加以发展，使地图更为科学实用。罗洪先堪称与墨卡托同时代的东方最伟大的地图学家。
